San Andreu de Gitarriu is a Romanesque church that is located near the neck of Faja I protected from the north by the mountain of Freixenet. To arrive by vehicle you have to go to Montagut direction to Sadernes shortly before reaching Sadernes, just making the last climb you have to take one breaking to the right direction in the Bassegoda and Lliurona passing through the neck of Faja.
We have to do about 9 km to reach an esplanade where tobarem the farmhouse of Serradell and a few meters later, at the foot of the track, the church. We must highlight the panoramic views in the Llierca Valley and part of the Alta Garrotxa; Highly recommended.San Andreu de Guitarriu is located within the municipality of Sales de Llierca (Garrotxa).
It is a work included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
